Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa Reopens Following the Southern California Wildfire Crisis
Publish Date : 11/2/2007 8:14:00 AM Source : Animals and Nature News Onlypunjab.com
Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa has resumed normal hotel operations effective October 30, following the recent wildfires in Southern California. The Resort and surrounding area were not affected by the fires, as the closest wildfire activity was in Grass Valley (four miles away) and Running Springs (seven miles away). The main area of Lake Arrowhead, The Village, Cedar Glenn and Blue Jay fortunately remained out of harm's way, and all are prepared to welcome visitors back to the thriving and picturesque mountain community.
Last week, the Resort ceased operations and opened its doors to more than 400 firefighters and rescue workers to provide a safe and convenient command center for emergency personnel in need of rest and nourishment. A team of eight dedicated resort employees worked around the clock to ensure constant support for all emergency personnel.
"Our heartfelt thanks go out to the men and women who risked their lives on behalf of our mountain community, and we at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa feel honored to have been able to lend a helping hand," says Peter Henry, General Manager. "We were extremely fortunate to not be affected, and all guests visiting our beautiful resort will not experience any effects of the recent wildfire activity."
Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa (www.laresort.com) recently debuted an extensive $19 million renovation, featuring 173 redesigned guestrooms and suites, a new fine-dining restaurant, BIN189, and the full-service Spa of the Pines. Located at 5,100 feet above sea level in a distinctive alpine setting, the resort offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountain community and has been welcoming guests since 1982. This lakefront property, offering guests private beach access to one of Southern California's most exclusive lakes. Nearby activities include shopping and dining just steps away at Lake Arrowhead Village, golf, hiking and year-round ice-skating on an Olympic size rink.
