Wickes Furniture Company Expanding In Chicago Area

Wickes Furniture Company, Inc., a Sun Capital Investment Company and one of the nation's largest furniture retailers, has opened a new retail showroom in Bolingbrook, Illinois - its 19th in the Chicago area and its 43rd nationwide. The 40,000-square-foot showroom, located at 785 E. Boughton Rd., opened Nov. 16.
"We're proud to open our newest Chicago area showroom, where we'll be introducing Urban Innovations by Wickes - a line of beautiful and functional furniture for smaller spaces such as condos, townhouses and apartments," said John Disa, Wickes Furniture president and CEO.
As a part of the grand opening celebration, Wickes Furniture has scheduled festivities from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 at the new Bolingbrook showroom, including:
- Autograph signings by former Chicago Bears Steve McMichael (Saturday) and Kevin Butler (Sunday).
- Drawings for tickets to Chicago Bears home games.
- Tailgate party with free hamburgers and hot dogs, live music and family entertainment (clowns, face painting, balloons).
- Furniture giveaways.
- Personalities, promotions and prizes from radio stations WNUA, WTMX, WUSN and WZZN.
Visitors to the new Bolingbrook showroom can enter to win $3,000 worth of Urban Innovations furniture, or participation in a free, private design party (limited to 20 participants) with Frank Fontana, host of HGTV's hit program "Design on a Dime."
The new Bolingbrook state-of-the-art retail showroom will feature a natural brick exterior. Inside, brushed metal, wood trim, large glass facades, hundreds of accessories, and other embellishments will be arranged in casual, contemporary, traditional and country room group collections to showcase Wickes' stylish furniture, including new Urban Innovations (www.wickesurban.com).
The Bolingbrook location will also feature a mattress gallery with a wide selection of brand names, including Sealy, Simmons, Nature's Bed, and Tempur-Pedic.
Regular showroom hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
