At the 2008 International Builders’ Show this week, Linear LLC, a market leader in home technology solutions for security, communications, and entertainment for over four decades, will be displaying its Whole-House Solutions for home networking, music and communications, entry systems, emergency reporting, and more. Highlighting the display at IBS will be Linear’s new Whole-House HD Solutions for high definition audio and video distribution, a new wireless carbon monoxide (CO) detector that can be installed virtually anywhere, and the new Linear Builder Program with incentives for contractors, dealers, and system installers.
“The International Builders’ Show is the ideal forum for us to display our comprehensive line of Whole-House Wiring Solutions,” said Chuck Stevens, Vice President of Marketing for Linear LLC. “Now that we have consolidated all of our products under the Linear brand, it is more important than ever that contractors, builders, and installers see the breadth of products and understand that Linear offers a single source for all their home technology and wiring needs.”
At IBS 2008, Linear will introduce its new Whole-House HD Solutions, including a full line of Linear High Definition Video Distribution products. Designed to conform to the High Definition Media Interface (HDMI) standard, the new Linear HDTV line includes both high definition audio and video switchers and amplifiers. With Linear’s Whole-House HD Solutions, builders and installers can wire an entire household for high definition signal distributions to support HDTV, HD cable, satellite TV, or game systems.
Linear also will introduce the market’s first UL-listed CO detector that is fully battery-operated with a built-in RF transmitter. The new DXS-80 CO detector is the latest addition to Linear’s line of Whole-House Emergency Solutions. The beauty of the DXS-80 is that since it’s both wireless and battery operated, it can be installed virtually anywhere. And it can be readily integrated into most third-party manufacturers’ alarm systems so it can automatically notify authorities and summon assistance.
Linear also will unveil its new Builder Program, which is structured to give contractors and affiliated dealers incentives to install more Linear products, giving homeowners higher quality home technology systems installed by professionals and backed by a name homeowners have used for four decades. As part of the new Builder Program, Linear is introducing a new Dealer Bucks program that gives affiliated dealers rebates for every Linear product installed; the more they install, the bigger the rebate and the larger their profits.
Linear will be showcasing all of its Whole-House Solutions at IBS, including its Whole-House Cleaning Solutions with a complete line of central vacuum systems that deliver three times the cleaning power of conventional vacuums. Linear’s Whole-House Networking Solutions make it easy to wire an entire house for Internet access, networked computers, telephone, and video signals with easy access wall panels. And the Whole-House Communications Solutions product line includes Linear’s award-winning intercom and whole-house music systems. Linear’s Whole-House Entry Systems offer one of the most diverse lines of access control products, including telephone entry systems, garage door openers, keypad and wireless entry systems, gate operators, and related solutions. The new Whole-House HD Solutions line makes it easy to deliver high definition AV signals throughout the house without degradation. And the Whole-House Emergency Solutions products include state-of-the-art alarm systems with wireless and hardwired alarm sensors and voice-to-voice communications 24 hours a day.
