Holy Fire Publishing releases "Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Jesus" (Paperback, US$9.99, ISBN#978-1-60383-046-1). Parry's goal for his new book is to entice readers of all beliefs to read the 60-page illustrated booklet that uses familiar topics with which readers can readily identify. Parry's humorous, nonthreatening approach lures readers into learning about Jesus as fact--not fiction.
"It's a simple way to make you think, yet put a big smile on your face," says Parry, whose previous literary work includes 39 Ways to Torment Your Cat. Parry uses the same tongue-in-cheek approach to Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Jesus, which serves to contrast similarities and differences between Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Jesus Christ.
According to Parry, he was inspired to write the book for those who find the idea of witnessing about Jesus difficult and scary. "Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Jesus is easy and fun to read," he says. Indeed, Parry's passion is to spread the Good News without being annoying, and he does it with common sense and flair.
"I think many will find this to be a postmodernist approach to Christian apologetics. We all deal with a lot of people who wish Jesus Christ was a fairy tale, and this booklet establishes in a fun way that is not the case." -Christine Parry, illustrator.
