Traditional application traffic management systems can be very costly and are not always suitable for use with wireless LANs. Aruba’s ability to enforce high security standards ensures that only those devices that meet the security requirements can access the Wi-Fi network. Security enforcement at the Application and Physical level by the Aruba infrastructure ensures that data collected from patient monitors is completely secure throughout the transmission, while built-in QoS capabilities ensure that sensitive real-time data are protected against latency and jitter. Bandwidth management allows hospitals to dynamically allocate bandwidth to individual or groups of high-priority devices, such as Draeger’s Infinity® Patient Monitors. When patient monitors are not present, Aruba automatically frees reserved bandwidth for other uses.
