Storm Warnings training is appropriate for anyone working in an industry handling chemicals, petroleum products, wastes, herbicides, pesticides or other industrial-type materials. This includes workers that are covered under a General or Multi-Sector General Permit for storm water discharges, as well as workers at municipal facilities covered under an MS4 Permit.
Storm water pollution occurs any time industrial-type materials are washed away with storm water run-off or snow melt. This training prepares employees and contractors to prevent storm water pollution and know the laws by learning Best Management Practices (BMPs) of working safely around storm water drains.
