Sonia Gandhi urges women party workers to take inspiration from Indira Gandhi

Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi today urged women party workers to strive for betterment of the weaker sections of society.
Addressing a meeting of the party's women workers on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi here, Sonia Gandhi urged women party workers to take inspiration from Indira Gandhi's life in facing difficult situations with courage.
"Indira Gandhi was one of the most influential political leaders of India. She dedicatedly served for the country and what contributed to her hereditary gift of leadership were the ideologies of Congress party," said Sonia Gandhi.
She said that Indira Gandhi closely followed the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and always worked for betterment of the weaker sections of society. (ANI) |
