NetOp Tech Inc and NetOp Tech Ltd, fully owned subsidiaries of Danish IT company Danware A/S, announced today that David Auwarter has joined the company as education sales manager in the United States and Peter Claxton has joined as education business development manager in the United Kingdom. They will bring their extensive experience in education software to the company, its partners and customers.
Auwarter and Claxton have more than 40 years combined experience in the software market and specifically in the education segment. They will provide marketing, sales and service support to customers and partners in the U.S. and U.K. Prior to joining NetOp Tech, Auwarter was most recently with software developer, NetSupport Inc., where he worked his way up the ranks to serve as president and chief executive officer of North American operations. Claxton has a teaching background and comes to NetOp Tech from Steljes where he was head of new software business development.
“Our goal in bringing Dave and Peter on board is to tap their expertise in the education software segment and bring that value and focus to the company, our partners and customers,” said Jason Vargovchik, country manager for NetOp in the U.S. “They will help us to reach out to that market and provide even better service and support.”
NetOp Tech recently launched the latest version of its flagship educational software, NetOp School 5.5 in the U.S. and U.K. NetOp School is computer lab management software that allows for effective teaching in networked classrooms. It enables teachers to monitor individual student activities and to broadcast the teacher’s or the student’s screen image on all computers in the classroom – simultaneously. Teachers can also lock down a student’s computer or mouse if he or she wanders off task.
NetOp School 5.5 gives teachers even more control over student Internet use and allows them to transfer audio, images and video between teacher and student screens.
“The latest version of NetOp School is a great step forward in developing collaborative learning and increases engagement and interactivity in classrooms,” said Mike Kibblewhite, managing director of NetOp in the UK. “No longer is learning on a computer a solitary activity.”
