Publish Date : 2/20/2008 7:58:00 AM   Source : American Local News Onlypunjab.com

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, the world's second largest manufacturer of laser printer engines, will exhibit a new line of Professional Series Printers at the Information Technology Education and Exposition (ITEX) show in Las Vegas, February 21 – 22, 2008. As part of Samsung’s commitment to the dealer channel, Samsung will also showcase new partner solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of customers in the BTA channel.

The combination of these different partner solutions creates compelling opportunities for partners to deliver greater customer value and choice. Solutions at this year’s show include MWAi’s Enterprise-class Intelligent Service and Intelligent Assets solution suites, LibertyNet™ Office, Gravic Remark software, and TBS Pay for Print solutions. Key benefits of Samsung’s solutions program include the extended development of integrated solutions tailored to specific industry needs; developed platforms and tools that encompass extended service; and the delivery of consistent and seamless user experience across the wide array of Samsung printer products.

“Samsung is redefining the relationship between partners and solutions,” said Jay Shears, director of office automation, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “We believe the future is in solution partnerships and the added value they provide giving more combined options and new opportunities for our customers.”

The unique mixture delivers rich solutions that drive new business opportunities, giving customers and dealers more choices and flexibility in how solutions are delivered.

Solutions demonstrated with Samsung MFP’s at ITEX this year include:

Samsung Open Architecture Platform

The new Samsung Open Architecture Platform includes easier integration of Samsung and third party solutions and speed to market. A demonstration of this will include an RSS feed and authentication solution via a proximity card reader.

MWAi’s Enterprise-class Intelligent Service and Intelligent Device Management™ Solution Suites

MWA Intelligence’s leading-edge enterprise-class M2M (machine-to-machine) applications including its Intelligent Service and Intelligent Device Management™ solutions demonstrate Samsung’s commitment to provide value-add service capabilities to its channel partners, by improving response time, increasing situational awareness, and decreasing device and service downtime.

Liberty IMS - LibertyNET™ Office

Samsung’s integration of Liberty IMS’ mid-market application within the portfolio of MFP products showcase quickly deployed customizable solutions that provide capabilities for document imaging, electronic document management and simple workflows. Records management, process automation, enhanced workflow, digital asset management, COLD/ERM, e-forms, e-mail management, collaboration and EDMS-enabling of line-of-business applications are all supported with LibertyNET Enterprise.

Gravic Remark

Tailored for the education market to support automated test grading using OMR (optical mark recognition) technology, the solution allows schools to create their own tests and grading templates and conduct the grading in house. Using a Samsung MFP they can scan in the student’s test sheet and automatically grade the tests using the Remark software. Samsung will be showing how to integrate the Remark solution with their portfolio of MFP products.

TBS Pay for Print Solution

Samsung will be demonstrating TBS’ pay for print solution with its portfolio of printers and MFP’s. These solutions are targeted at markets where public use of printers and MFP’s is prevalent such as libraries, universities, internet cafes, etc.

Samsung’s solutions offer a fast and flexible way to address the unique needs of each customer, providing opportunities to deliver customer value and grow businesses by developing and deploying dependable and reliable solutions.
