PatientKeeper and Sage Software Announce Plan to Deliver Integrated Solution to Community Physicians
Publish Date : 2/25/2008 7:33:00 AM Source : Software and ERP News Onlypunjab.com
PatientKeeper®, Inc., the leading provider of integrated physician information systems, and Sage Software, a provider of practice management and EMR solutions, today announced plans to provide physicians with anytime-anywhere access to clinical and financial information. The partnership is intended to offer Sage Software customers increased revenue through efficiently and accurately capturing charges and improved delivery of care through a mobile extension to the Intergy Practice system. In addition, this partnership is intended to facilitate interoperability between the Intergy EHR by Sage electronic health records system and the PatientKeeper Physician Portal™ to provide physicians easy access to patient information from both inpatient and outpatient sources in a single, unified user interface.
Most physicians are highly mobile, often practicing medicine in multiple settings," said Paul Stinson, senior vice president, product management for Sage Software Healthcare, Inc. "The ability to access patient data from anywhere quickly — at the practice, on rounds, at home after hours — is critical to providing the best patient care possible. Through our relationship with PatientKeeper, we plan to extend our customers’ access to clinical and financial data to any location.”
This partnership between two market leaders stands to have a significant impact on healthcare delivery. Tens of thousands of healthcare practices in the US are Sage Software customers, while PatientKeeper has contracted with over 10% of the US acute care hospital market. Greater interoperability between their respective software solutions represents a significant advancement in community health information exchange.
“Our partnership with Sage Software will extend our market reach and provide integration and mobile applications to help physicians realize added value from their existing investments,” said Paul W. Brient, PatientKeeper president and CEO. “Further, this partnership will support our goal of connecting the community through the integration of both inpatient and outpatient data.”
Both companies will be demonstrating the joint applications at HIMSS08 Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, FL, February 25-28. Visit PatientKeeper at booth #2600 and Sage at booth #4001.
