Royale Energy Hits Natural Gas in First Well Drilled in 2008
Publish Date : 2/12/2008 5:11:00 AM Source : Animals and Nature News Onlypunjab.com
Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) has found multiple natural gas filled sands in its Gobel well in the company’s Sacramento basin Lonestar field. The well was drilled to a total depth of 6,500 feet and logged pay in three separate zones within the Forbes formation. Completion and testing operations will begin later this week with production and sales by the end of the month.
The company also recompleted its Andrus Island #1 well in a shallower zone that flowed 950,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day with a strong flowing tubing pressure of 1700 lbs. Because the formation is extremely porous, initial sales will be restricted at 400,000 cubic feet per day to prevent the possibility of the well producing sand. Sales will begin immediately. The Andrus Island East prospect will be drilled in the 2nd quarter of 2008.
