Rayne Water Corporation: You Can Improve Your Water Quality and Care About the Environment
Publish Date : 1/15/2008 6:18:00 AM   Source : Health News Onlypunjab.com

With Rayne's latest products and services, you can improve your water quality in your home and care about the environment. Rayne water treatment products Provide families with clean, healthy and conditioned water using eco-friendly, and waste-saving products.

"Today our products are top-of-the-line in our industry, but also provide environmentally smart solutions for the average family. In our company, the terms environmentally friendly and top-of-the-line are not mutually exclusive -- they are in fact symbiotic," says H. Martin Jessen, Vice President of Rayne Water Corporation. "Even back in our earliest years, Rayne products allowed consumers to dramatically cut back soap and detergent use, and help household appliances run more efficiently and use less water and energy," Mr. Jessen. "Today our products and improved services really make a big difference not only in the lives of our customers, but also in protecting the environment."

From Plastic to Dust -- in about a 1,000 years

Plastic water bottles are a serious problem. Every single day 40 million plastic water bottles are tossed out as garbage. Not recycled - but tossed out as garbage. These plastic water bottles are made from petroleum and it takes over 1.5 million barrels of oil a year to produce the water bottles consumed in the US in one year - enough to fuel some 100,000 U.S. cars for a year. Worst of all, each of these bottles will take over 1,000 years to biodegrade. (Sources: MSNBC and the Container Recycling Institute)

With a Rayne Drinking Water System, consumers never have to buy bottled water again. The difference in greenhouse gas house emissions (produced by water-bottle production), clogged landfills and debris in neighborhood waste would be staggering.

And the benefit to the consumer? "This system will pay for itself in savings," says Mr. Jessen. "No more expensive water bottles to buy or heavy water bottles to carry home from the store. And since plastic water bottles are made from petroleum," Mr. Jessen points out, "Our drinking water systems reduce the number of bottles needed which could impact what we pay at the gas pump - a cost savings all families could use."

It is Like Salt in Your Wounds and Soap in Your Eyes

In many areas of the country, hard water is a serious problem -- in fact it is the most common water quality problem in the U.S. Many consumers require water softeners to help alleviate the scale build up and damage hard water can inflict. What many consumers don't realize is that a typical water softener discharges 600-2,000 pounds of salt each year (source: Central Arizona Salinity Study).

The annual cost to the local municipalities to remove salt discharged from the average softener is staggering. In Santa Clarita, CA, it is estimated that the cost to remove discharged salt may rise to more than $350 million or $500 per household if salt discharge rates continue (source: www.lacsd.org). In an effort to make a difference, in September of 2007, Rayne Water Corporation was the very first water treatment company in Santa Clarita to voluntarily remove all automatic water softener rental units to reduce chloride discharge in the Santa Clara River. What was publicly lauded as a "breakthrough move," Rayne's voluntary decision reduces the total number of units in Santa Clarita by nearly 10 percent. Since then, other water treatment companies have followed our lead. (Source: www.lacsd.org, Press Release, September 12, 2007) In place of automatic softeners, Rayne will offer customers its Soft Water Exchange Tank Service. These homeowners are being offered Rayne's portable exchange soft water service which provides the same benefits of a water softener but uses no salt in the home.

Rayne's Soft Water Exchange Tank Service is in reality a superior way to soften your hard water and actually uses 40% less salt and wastes 70% less water than your typical softener. "And the best part is that our tanks use absolutely no electricity and need no drain because our technicians simply exchange the tank when needed," explains Mr. Jessen. He continues, "In fact, in several municipalities in California where typical (self-regenerative) softeners are banned, exchange tank services such as ours is actually recommended by government water managers."

And even Rayne's "typical" regenerative softeners are not so typical. Rayne Soft Water Systems are more efficient than other softeners on the market. Our systems employ such eco-friendly items as Meter Delay Variable Reserve programs that dramatically minimize water and salt discharge. Equally as important, Rayne Dealers understand the importance of calculating the correct capacity usage to miniŽmize waste, discharge rates and water usage.

In every home in America, consumers discharge everyday soaps, toxic detergents and harsh scale-reducing chemicals down the drain. A Rayne water softener can make a huge difference. Mr. Jessen explains, "With a Rayne Soft Water System, a family will use 70%-80% less soaps, detergents and chemicals. Also hot water heaters use less energy and last far longer and appliances such as dishwashers and clothes washers experience less wear and tear reducing appliance waste because they last longer."

Our Commitment Continues:
"We are proud of the eco-friendly way our products deliver clean, healthy and conditioned water to the families we serve, but we know we can - and will - do more. We are continually developing and testing new technologies such as improved water filtration processes, reducing hard water scale with zero salt discharge, or developing valves that continue to improve on efficiencies. Our goal is to continue to provide the best products possible for our customers and the environment," states Mr. Jessen.
