Rapid Micro Biosystems, Inc., a privately held company developing innovative products for faster detection of microbial contamination in pharmaceutical and personal care products, today announced the addition of key executives in marketing, sales and finance. These executives join the management team as the Company initiates the commercial phase of its recently launched Growth Direct™ System. This rapid automated platform for earlier detection of microbial contamination enables pharmaceutical and personal care companies to reduce manufacturing risks, streamline quality processes, lower costs and increase operational efficiencies.
Deborah Brusini brings 25 years of accomplishment in life science, diagnostic and biopharmaceutical markets to her new role of Vice President, Product Management and Marketing. Ms. Brusini most recently led product management, sales and market development functions at PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences. With Rapid Micro Biosystems she will have the responsibility of executing the market launch and growth strategy for the Growth Direct System™. Ms. Brusini holds a B Sc from Clemson University.
Wayne Miller, newly appointed Director of Sales, has consistently built sales in life science and biopharmaceutical markets for over 25 years. Most recently Mr. Miller held the position of Vice President, Growth and Business Development at SP Industries, a manufacturer of equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In this new position he will leverage his knowledge of the marketplace to introduce powerful cost efficiencies to manufacturers through the adoption of the Growth Direct System™. Mr. Miller is a graduate of Valparaiso University.
Michael Ellis has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently with Dymec, a producer of hardened networking equipment, Mr. Ellis managed their acquisition by Garettcom, Inc. Mr. Ellis has over 30 years of finance and accounting experience, including acquisitions, turn-arounds, and venture and debt financing. He holds a BSBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a JD from New England School of Law.
