PCBC Retains Burson-Marsteller to Promote Conference and Exhibitors
Publish Date : 1/10/2008 6:38:00 AM   Source : Advertising and Business News Onlypunjab.com

After a comprehensive search, PCBC, the nation’s largest regional homebuilders’ tradeshow and conference, has selected Burson-Marsteller, a global leader in public relations and strategic communications, to assist in marketing and public relations efforts to promote the PCBC brand, conference and its exhibitors.

The objective of the communications campaign is to raise awareness of PCBC’s network of conferences and programs including positioning the conference as a year-round resource for homebuilding professionals. The California Building Industry Association (CBIA) annually presents PCBC, which since its inception in 1959, has grown from a general-interest builders’ conference into one of the nation’s largest conferences. PCBC now features three specialized conferences-within-a-conference that focus on multi-family housing trends, “green” homebuilding and industry leadership.

“We have an opportunity this year to leverage the trends that PCBC has always been known for – product and design innovations and leadership on current and future building initiatives – that will help building professionals succeed in a challenging environment and capitalize on opportunities when the business makes an upswing,” said John Frith, CBIA’s vice president of public affairs. “Through our work with Burson-Marsteller, we can effectively showcase PCBC for its innovation and industry leadership.”

“Our multi-faceted communications program will focus on why PCBC is homebuilding's premier event – a place where the industry's most influential trendsetters gather to share ideas and information,” said Patrick George, account leader and director of Burson-Marsteller’s Media Practice. “We are eager work with PCBC to leverage our media relations expertise and in-depth knowledge of the housing industry to demonstrate why PCBC is must-attend show.”

About PCBC

PCBC is the largest regional builders’ show in the nation with attendance of nearly 30,000. Held annually at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, PCBC features an extensive display of product innovations from more than 600 of the industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers and a four-day educational conference with more than 60 keynotes, seminars and workshops in fields ranging from business strategies to marketing to product design to applied technology. PCBC 2008 will be held June 24-27. Registration is scheduled to begin in mid-January.
