Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE:FDO) today announced that it has named Bryan E. Venberg to the position of Senior Vice President – Human Resources. Mr. Venberg will report to Howard R. Levine, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. of Senior Vice President – Human Resources. Mr. Venberg will report to Howard R. Levine, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Family Dollar, Mr. Venberg served as Senior Vice President, Operations, Customer Service and Human Resources with ShopNBC. He has held similar positions with Target Corporation, as well as with Marshall Fields. Mr. Venberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Speech Communications from Minnesota State University at Mankato.
