The online retailer has come a long way in its short existence. Jon Hoch founded Power Equipment Direct in his basement five years ago with just a laptop and a cell phone.
This year, the company hired a new president, opened a new 14,000-square foot warehouse and launched its fourth niche superstore -- SnowBlowersDirect.com -- on a redesigned web platform.
"We've completely reinvented ourselves in 2007," said Jon Hoch, founder and CEO. "We're now poised for significant growth in 2008."
Hoch considers the Hot 100 as a major achievement for the Bolingbrook, Ill.-based retailer. "We're among some really good company. It's truly an honor to make the list."
