The first addition is a proposal intake form. This request form allows clients to detail their event, including service style (i.e. buffet, sit-down, etc.), type of meal (i.e. dinner, appetizers, etc.) and beverage selections. There are also a host of options for add-on services like floral arrangements, entertainment and venue selection assistance.

"That is the basis of our business; we are a full-service catering and event planning resource," Christopher says. "My staff includes an executive chef, creative director, wine sommelier and dedicated event coordinators, all poised to offer superior services to the most refined of taste."

Once this information is collected at the Events by Christopher site (www.eventsbychristopher.com), it is emailed directly to Christopher who then works with his staff to produce a proposal for the event based on the selections made by the customer. The client may provide a budget or use the information to better understand the price ranges available.

"The form offers clarity, allowing us the ability to know exactly what our customers want," adds Christopher. "But it also allows for multiple options, giving us the opportunity to prepare a proposal that offers a variety of services to those customers still defining the feel of their event."

The next defining addition to the site is a blog. The world of weblogs has expanded exponentially in the last couple of years, on every subject matter imaginable. Christopher recognized that the San Diego event planning and catering scene, something unique unto itself, did not have a forum for discussion on the web.

"A blog seemed like the right solution - a place where people can discuss party ideas, get questions answered by experts and communicate directly with Events by Christopher staff members at any time."

Currently located at http://eventsbychristopher.wordpress.com, the blog is already attracting attention. Christopher encourages everyone to comment, post and contribute.

"It's everyone's forum," he says. "Tell us about your event triumphs (and nightmares), share a recipe, praise a staff member."
