Chamonix, France
Chamonix is known as one of the best and most beautiful skiing resorts in the world. With Mont Blanc as a back drop and powdery off-piste snow conditions, its title is well deserved. Pamporovo, Bulgaria
Set amongst the magnificent pine forests in the Rhodope Mountains Pamporovo is one of the southernmost skiing resorts in Europe. The resort is situated 1650m above sea level and boasts 25km of excellent ski runs and 38 km of cross country skiing tracks. The world cup downhill runs are enough to test any expert and "The Wall" remains the most difficult ski piste. If that is not enough for the more advanced skier there is excellent off piste skiing and snowboarding, but be advised a local guide should be used as much of this is virgin territory.
