Imagine googling someone's name and finding their contact page. And on this contact page is a secure mail forward that allows you to email them without you knowing their actual email address. What PageMailr does is publish a user's contact information on the Internet. Then to contact them you simply google their name and their contact page comes up in the results list. Click on their contact page link in the results to view their Contact Page. You can then send them a message through a secure mail form.
Mr. Wingard goes on to point out that the technology to make publishing a contact page securely on the Internet is already on the Internet. PageMailr, however, uses this technology in a different way to protect its users' email addresses from would be spammers. Each PageMailr Contact Page comes with a mail forward page. On this page a message can be "forwarded" to the PageMailr user's hidden email address. The "mail forward" or "form mail" page is currently used on many web sites allowing site visitors to send the site owner a message. PageMailr takes this a step further. PageMailr gives all of its users their own mail forward page that can be used not only with the PageMailr website but with other sites as well.
A second benefit to publishing a contact page with PageMailr is that each user's contact page can be accessed via a hyperlink. This PageMailr link can be used on the Internet as sort of an "electronic business card". PageMailr users can leave their link to their contact page not only on their web pages or blogs but also on other people's web sites or blogs. The link gives others who read the comments or posts an easy way to learn a little about a PageMailr user and a quick way to contact them. A PageMailr Contact Page is composed of whatever information users are willing to share on the Internet. At present the contact information consists of name, city, state, and country. Adding the locale information is designed to help the search engine narrow the search results to the most likely match.
