Dealer.com Opens Doors to New ‘Green’ Headquarters
Publish Date : 12/12/2007 7:01:00 AM Source : Sports News Onlypunjab.com
Dealer.com today announced that it has opened the doors to a brand new 63,000 square foot LEED certified headquarters in Burlington, VT. Highlights of the new facility include a sports complex that features an indoor tennis and basketball court, full gym with cardio and strength training equipment, ping pong, and the ‘Dot Calm Café’, an onsite, full service, organic foods cafe. Both Vermont Governor Jim Douglas and Burlington, VT Mayor Bob Kiss will be on hand for the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony, which comes almost ten years after Dealer.com was founded.
This building is a result of the success that Dealer.com has had over the past decade, and an example of our dedication to being a socially conscious company,” said Mark Bonfigli, president and CEO of Dealer.com. “We wanted to have an office that was not only environmentally friendly, but also beneficial to our well-being. With the sports complex and organic foods café, we are able to offer everyone at Dealer.com a rare opportunity to work at a company that is healthy and tons of fun”.
In order to be considered LEED certified, third-party verification is required to confirm that the building project is environmentally responsible. Dealer.com has not only been environmentally active with the construction of their new building, but also recently launched Earthcars.com, an initiative to provide U.S. based consumers with everything they need to know when purchasing a green vehicle. The website includes the latest research on alternative fuel vehicles, rankings of environmentally friendly cars, and the ability to view and compare green inventory from local car dealers.
