The new software is available immediately. It is a Point of Sale application that works with touch screens, popular ESC/PoS receipt printers designed for high-volume retail and hospitality environments, and with barcode scanners to enable fast article entry in demanding retail areas. Openbravo POS v2.0 includes new and enhanced features including easy-to-use buttons in the user interface, new reports for the restaurant module and a simplified sales process for weighted products. An improved configuration allows users to select the aspect and colors to meet requirements.

Localization has been simplified so users can easily install a new language and can use different currency symbols, decimal separator symbols and other formatting aspects of values.

For developers, Openbravo POS v2.0 includes a new build file and project files that makes easier to edit the sources of Openbravo POS to include new features.

Integration capabilities are also updated in Openbravo POS v2.0 with enhanced integration with Openbravo ERP.

This is the first version of the new Openbravo-branded POS since Openbravo acquired Librepos in October 2007.
