There are a lot of things to take into consideration before we can honestly say yes...or no.
Have we exhausted all other forms of communications? Email...instant messenger...phone calls...snail mail...?
Have the two of learned all there is to learn about each other? Can you both honestly say, you have "put everything on the table"? If the both of you can't say yes, then it is not time to take it to the next level.
A lot of singles only reach what I call the 50% mark in the relationship, and then they decide to take it to the next level. They will honestly tell me they don't know everything about the person they are trying to establish a serious relationship with, but they want to "skip" to the next level. What a major mistake!
When they made the choice to take a "short cut" and jump to the next level, what was in store for them? Well! They found men that weren't "completely" divorced. (Whatever that means!) Let's see...they also discovered men that they "assumed" were straight...ended up being bi-sexual. While taking these "short cuts" they also discovered who were habitually unemployed...there were felons...all kinds of interesting things surfaced that could have been avoided.
At least if you take the time to ask all of the questions, turn over every stone, and resist the "short cuts", then when the truth comes out you can place 100% of the blame on the other person. You can then truthfully call them a liar.
You are not ready to take the online relationship to the next level if you aren't willing to take all of the time necessary to discover exactly who you are dealing with. Do not let anyone, not even your "potential love interest" force you to cut the discovery process short. Be a little concerned if the person you are "getting to know" is showing extreme signs of impatience. Ask yourself why they want to cut the "getting to know you" part of the relationship short!
Isn't it time for you to "choose" instead of waiting to be "chosen"?
Stop dreaming about "The One"... pull your dreams into reality!
