OKI Data Americas, which markets its products under the OKI® Printing Solutions brand, today announced that Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. selected its Smart Forms electronic forms printing solution that is projected to improve office productivity, brand appearance and reduce costs through the elimination of costly pre-printed forms.
Gypsum is the largest independent distributor of drywall products in the U.S. and had been using pre-printed multipart forms for its invoices that were not only expensive, but also resulted in cumbersome form storage and delays in accessing and sending copies of invoices to customers. Switching to Smart Forms from OKI Printing Solutions enables Gypsum to improve its efficiency through a streamlined process that reduces print costs and provides a more customer-friendly invoice that can be conveniently e-mailed and printed on-demand. Invoices are now crisp, easy to read, professional-looking documents that include Gypsum’s logo and customizable, localized information for each distributor on the page.

The Smart Forms solution used by Gypsum combines the C6100 Series digital color printers from OKI Printing Solutions with the flexible, open platform PlanetPress Suite electronic forms software from Objectif Lune. Invoices become crisper and easier to read and overall communication turns effortless with the ability to send by email rather than standard mail.
With no change to their host system, each distributor or location now can print their invoices with a logo and their location information when they need them with the capability to add targeted marketing or sales messages as appropriate. These customized forms were installed by Inland Associates, Gypsum’s solution provider.
