Zurich, one of the world’s largest property-casualty insurance companies, today named Domenick DiCicco as chief claim counsel for its North America Commercial division. He will be responsible for managing Claims’ legal operations in Zurich’s Schaumburg, Ill., and Baltimore offices.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Domenick to this important position,” said Jane Tutoki, Zurich’s North America chief claims officer. “His experience will be well utilized in this new role.”
DiCicco has 18 years of insurance experience. He began his career in 1990 at the law firm of Post & Schell, where he served as trial counsel for insurance companies and large corporations. In 1993, he joined insurance carrier CNA as counsel for large accounts and national subrogation counsel. Before joining Zurich in 2005 as vice president and head of global complex claims and litigation management, he was a partner in the law firm of Edelstein, Martin, Nelson and DiCicco from 2002 to 2004, where he specialized in insurance cases. From 1994 to 2004, he served as corporate counsel for the Deptford, N.J., Fire Department, and from 1998 to 2000 as adjunct professor-business law and corporate finance at Wilmington College in Delaware.
DiCicco earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Rowan University in New Jersey, a law degree from Delaware Law School and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
