Compared to other smart phones in the market Nokia N95 is much lighter to hold and has stubby look to it. Now this is typical of any slider phone. It is smaller than the other phones in the N series.
Display
The phone has a large 2.6 inch screen in the front which looks magnificent. Right below this beautiful screen are the main control keys. A slight push and the screen slides open to reveal a well laid out keypad. These keypads are a great improvement over the N73's and N80's keypads as each row has ridges and there is a tactile feel to it. On the sides of the phone are the speakers which produce good quality sound. On the right hand side there are keys which are used for the camera.
Camera
One interesting feature of the phone is that it comes with an inbuilt 5 mega pixel camera which uses Carl Zeiss optics. .The camera is present on the back of the device and it can be activated by the ring slider. The device has to be held horizontally to click pictures and the screen can be used as the view finder. There are enhanced application added to the camera to click and manage the photos like 4 ISO settings, contrast and sharpness adjustment, and an enhanced burst mode.
New software
New software has been added to phone like the GPS. It also now has a redesigned menu which can be accessed through the multimedia key.
The Nokia N95 phone has an interesting feature called the second slider where the phone can be slid open from the top. Here are the multimedia controls like the forward, back, stop and pause play keys. Here the device switches to landscape mode and all the web browsing and viewing multimedia can be accessed this way.
