The Nokia 6300 was first available in a black casing some seven months ago and more recently in White exclusively from The Carphone Warehouse, the phone makes for a useful business tool with high speed connectivity and expandable memory but is also adopted by users who prefer easy to use handsets without the slides and flips and with buttons that make menu navigation simple.
The 6300 is one of the manufacturers slimmest phones to date at just 11.7mm thick and only 91g in weight but somehow they have managed to squeeze in some impressive technology and features that is present in the top of the range handsets.
To start their is a 2.0 megapixel camera with flash and zoom as well as support for video playback and record which can be viewed on the large 2 inch, 240 x 320 pixel display in 16 million colours which will do any high quality images justice.
There is also an MP3 player that can be filled with music either by uploading form a PC via data cable or downloading direct from the internet to the handset with the speed of GPRS and EDGE technology. Music tracks can then be arranged into playlists to suit either genre or mood and then listened to either the phone's internal speaker or a Nokia earphones. Tunes can be shared with friends using Bluetooth, users can simply select the track they wish to send and connect with compatible devices for wireless data transfer, Bluetooth can also be used to connect to PCs, laptops, TVs and handsfree headsets and car kits for safe conversation whilst driving. GPRS and EDGE also allows for fast download speeds when selecting new mobile content such as games, ringtones and wallpapers.
There is also an FM radio installed in the 6300 for tuning into local and national stations to keep up to date with news and sports and the all important weather forecasts and travel updates.
The Nokia 6300 offers a substantial battery life with 3.5 hours of talktime between charges and 348 hours of standby time negating concerns of dead batteries whilst travelling or having to conclude conversation prematurely.
Message options include SMS and MMS plus Nokia Xpress Audio which means users can simply record quick voice clips and send directly to other phones. The 6300 also allows for sending emails whilst out of the office via EDGE for quick transfer times as well as sending attachments without the upload wait.
All of the 6300 models have a stainless steel casing that portrays an expensive feel and sophisticated appearance but it is the colour of the facades that changes with each model to give them their individual hues, the new Red Nokia 6300 works well with the stainless steel for a minimalistic and modern look that sets it aside from the boring greys and blacks usually found in the mobile phone market place.
