Kotura, Inc., a leading provider of silicon photonic components, and Oki Optical Components, a leading supplier of very high speed optical and IC components for Ethernet and Telecom applications, today announced that they are partnering to bring new products to the market place.
Later this year, Oki Optical Components plans to introduce a 10G APD receiver with integrated VOA for Metro applications. The silicon photonics VOA with the fastest response time in the industry enables the receiver to support a wide range of new applications.
“OKI is a leader in 40G and 10G optical as well as GaAs/InP analog IC components,” said Jean-Louis Malinge, CEO of Kotura. “They have an excellent reputation with their customers and we are delighted to have OKI as a partner. Our relationship will expand the business for both of our companies.”
“We are excited to be working together with Kotura to develop advanced products utilizing Kotura’s silicon photonics platform,” said Tamotsu Kimura, General Manager, Oki Optical Components. “Our customers will benefit from having the close cooperation between OKI and Kotura.”
