What You Need To Know About Deodorants
Publish Date : 4/8/2008 2:05:00 AM   Source : Health News Onlypunjab.com

Generally a lot people tend to use a spray on deodorant with the intention of stopping body odour. But the sweating still takes place, all that the body spray is doing is masking the smell of any body odour.

Now people sweat under a lot of conditions and not just when the weather is warm. There could be emotional factors at stake such as when a person is anxious or nervous.

Underneath the armpit there are literally thousands of sweat glands that are also active and a lot of deodorant sprays clog these sweat clogs, so stopping you from sweating, but that is not as good as it actually sounds. Because you want the body to release that sweat, that is the natural process of the body so why interfere?

For whatever reason there are some people that do have very strong body odour and no matter how many times they wash or what products they use, they just cannot hide the smell of their excess body odour.

One of the first things to examine is diet. If the diet consists of nothing that is natural then this could be the reason that the sweat that your body is releasing smells bad.

So if you do have a bad diet make the change to a diet that is full of fresh fruit and vegetables and make sure that you drinking lots of water too.

Now if you do find that you are sweating a great deal then you need to take some action. We have mentioned diet, which is an easy fix. But regardless of your diet you are still going to be sweating.

There are many spray on deodorants but the problem with these is that they contain many synthetic ingredients so applying these to your skin is not really suggested.

You would be best off finding a natural based deodorant and the best one is that made from salt. Simply wet and apply to the armpit. This work by killing off the bacteria that causes body odour, but you are still sweating, as the sweat glands have not been clogged. This is good as you are not interfering with the natural process of the body.

You see many of the spray on products are man made and therefore artificial. It is not natural to clog the sweat glands and this is how spray on products actually work. As mentioned you need to release the sweat from the body not to keep it within you.

There are some people who do sweat a great deal. There is a condition known as hyperhidrosis which affects just under three percent of the worlds living population and one of the problems with excess sweating is generally that of social embarrassment.

If you do sweat excessively then clearly you have a medical condition and you need to visit your doctor where a suitable medication will be prescribed. But do not stay on the medication for too long, follow the instructions of your doctor.
