Austin Artist Featured in National Publication
Publish Date : 11/29/2007 6:34:00 AM Source : Europe News OnlyPunjab.com
Austin metaphysical artist Mickie Bellah's paintings are featured in an extensive article in the November / December issue of Mystic Pop Magazine, www.mysticpopmagazine.com. The free online publication reaches millions of readers interested in living in the "now." Notables in the cover story are Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and the Global Elders.
Mickie began painting in the early '70s, but stuck with her day job, advertising for another 20 years. In the '90s she took art classes, and by 2002 had developed her signature technique: applying spirit-guided colors while she spins and/or tilts the canvases. She recently started her Luminescence series, after an "accident" in her studio revealed yet another way to add color to canvas.
Each painting can be hung in any direction and new images will appear. To view a selection of her art, see pages 27-30 of the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of Mystic Pop Magazine, www.mysticpopmagazine.com, or visit Mickie's website, www.mickiebellahart.com.
