National Health Partners, Inc. (OTCBB:NHPR), a leading provider of unique discount healthcare membership programs, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with America’s Professional Services Association (APSA), a Michigan-based non-profit association.
Under the agreement, APSA will use licensed insurance agents to present the company’s CARExpress membership programs to approximately 60,000 households per year. A substantial portion of the households that the insurance agents will visit are underinsured or have no insurance at all. The insurance agents will present APSA’s membership programs, which will include the company’s CARExpress membership programs, to household members by conducting face-to-face meetings with them. The parties intend to pursue additional opportunities with large groups of uninsured and underinsured people such as groups of current and retired employees of large corporations on a joint-venture basis.
“We are very excited to offer National Health Partners’ innovative health discount programs to our extensive and growing list of members,” stated Pamela Hayden, Executive Director of APSA. “We are committed to providing our members with the most comprehensive professional services package available at the lowest possible prices. National Health Partners shares our values. They have one of the largest networks of healthcare providers in the country, have an outstanding product offering, and will enable our members to save a substantial amount of money on their healthcare. We believe that National Health Partners’ health discount programs will be extremely popular with our members and look forward to a long and successful relationship with National Health Partners.”
“We are very pleased to have entered into this agreement with APSA,” stated David M. Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Health Partners. “The agreement that we signed today is a perfect example of the type of value-driven business partners we are seeking. APSA is an organization that seeks to help its members obtain important services at discounted prices. Our CARExpress membership programs are a perfect addition to their impressive service offering. We look forward to working with APSA and pursuing additional opportunities with them in the future. I commend Fred Wolf, our Vice President of New Business Development, for yet another job well done.”
