DiamondWare Announces Next Revolution of 3D Voice, Integrates with Monumental Technology Suite
Publish Date : 2/21/2008 5:01:00 AM   Source : Technology News Onlypunjab.com

DiamondWare announced today the newest release, 12.0, of its DiamondWare Platform, offering several breakthroughs in high-definition 3D positional voice technology. New features include even more realistic audio, unlimited scalability, and a hosting option. The hosting option is revolutionary in that now, for the first time, developers can use the same 3D voice technology either as a hosted service or as a server license, and they can change from one to the other at any time.

With this version, DiamondWare increases its technology leadership position in the market,” said Keith Weiner, CEO of DiamondWare. “This isn’t about phone service, but immersing the user more deeply into a high-quality experience, doing it on a truly massive scale, and giving developers and publishers options that work best for them,” he added.

The Monumental Technology Suite from Monumental Games is the first beneficiary of this new version. One of the world’s leading Online Game and Virtual World development platforms, Monumental now offers DiamondWare’s technology to its licensees, to accelerate deployment of 3D voice in Online Multi-player Games, Virtual Worlds, Simulations, and Collaborative Environments.

“We have a long standing policy of integrating DiamondWare and other key technology and service partners into the Monumental Technology Suite,” said Rik Alexander, CEO of Monumental. “We want to make life easier for our platform licensees. Making an Online Game or a Virtual World is a big enough job without worrying about having to integrate a host of other technologies and services as part of your project development schedule. The DiamondWare Platform is a cutting-edge commercially relevant VoIP component that fits well into our complete suite of development tools.” he added.
