Air2Web, the leading provider of mobile marketing, today announced its new executive line up for 2008. The updates include newly appointed President, Bill Jones; Chief Financial Officer, Don Dysert; and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Agency Programs, Scott Foernsler. These changes have optimized the company to grow its mobile marketing leadership via new marketing agency relationships and strengthened vertical market offerings.
Current State of Mobile Marketing
Current headlines prove that mobile marketing is on the rise, according to a 2008 Q1 report by ABI Research Group. Particularly, there is greater awareness and adoption of feature-rich phones and applications, leading customers to want more power over the content on their devices in an otherwise “operator-controlled” environment.
"With increasing importance of mobile to consumers, now more than ever, brands need a trusted and experienced partner to deliver mobile campaigns that enrich the consumer experience. Air2Web is that mobile marketing partner," says Bill Jones, president of Air2Web. "Our new agency strategy takes mobile marketing to the next level and increases awareness among a broader audience. This, combined with our renewed focus on specific vertical markets, will provide tremendous value to the big brands.”
Agency Strategy & Focus on Verticals
With the new team, Air2Web has launched its new Agency Programs practice. As the first mobile marketing company to dedicate resources specifically to assist agencies with providing mobile marketing services to their clients, Air2Web is creating a deeper relationship with multiple agencies. The new Agency Programs practice is explicitly focused on cooperating with – not competing with – marketing agencies. The Agency Programs team will offer agencies of all types (marketing, PR, interactive, advertising), technology services and best practice consultancy on ideation, implementation and more. This further provides brands access to mobile marketing thought leadership, directly or via their agencies.
Additionally, Air2Web is strengthening its vertical market focus, emphasizing mobile marketing solutions for carriers, content providers and brands across financial services, retail, CPG, food & beverage, insurance, and media & entertainment, among others.
