Imprivata®, Inc., the converged identity and access management appliance company, today announced Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates (MIMA), the largest multi-specialty group practice in central Florida, has rolled out OneSign™ Single Sign-On (SSO) to 15 locations serving Over 1000 employees including clinical, diagnostic and administrative departments.
“Our goal was simple – to create a secure environment where it was not necessary to remember a multitude of passwords. We felt significant pain from workflow interruptions, help desk calls, complaints from physicians and compliance concerns,” said Phil Slover, IT Operations and Development Manager for MIMA. “Our technology consultants at Tribridge recommended Imprivata, and we are very glad they did.”
Key considerations for MIMA in evaluating OneSign were the ability to handle the full range of applications in use, data and password security and performance reliability. Acting on Tribridge’s recommendation, MIMA’s IT team found that OneSign easily met all of the criteria.
“Upon identifying OneSign, our IT staff rolled it out on an office by office basis. In each instance and without fail, the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Gary Wright, CIO at MIMA. “Now with OneSign in place at our 15 locations we have been able to take what was once a real-pain point and eliminate it altogether. As a result our staff is now able to dedicate its total focus to patient service without compromising the overall security of our organization.”
Slover adds that the process of rolling out OneSign SSO started with select smaller locations and expanded to the entire company, incorporating dozens of applications on every platform and delivery method including Web, Windows and hosted applications, with fat and thin clients. OneSign SSO smoothly adapted to all of them, enabling a company wide deployment to be completed in weeks rather than months.
