Call for entries for this year's Marketing Effectiveness Awards (Summit MEA) have been announced today. Recognized worldwide as the industry's most prestigious effectiveness awards, last year's contestants represented twenty-six countries worldwide. Best of Category, Winners and Finalists were selected in categories representing all sectors of marketing communications. Best of Category awards were given to winning-medal winners in six broad categories.

ENTRIES:

• An entry consists of two parts: the MEA Brief and accompanying Creative Sample(s). Companies may submit as many entries as desired but each must have both Brief and Sample.
• There are two types of entries: Single Entry and Campaign Entry.
• Single Entry: A single entry has one creative execution with an accompanying Brief.
• Campaign Entry: A campaign entry has more than one creative execution and an accompanying Brief.

CRITERIA:

Individual

• Submission's strength of approach relative to audience and product/service.
• Whether it establishes a feeling of want or need.
• How well it moves the audience closer to action.

• Ability to change, influence or reinforce audience knowledge, attitudes or beliefs.

• Targeted Marketing Channels: Print, Broadcast, Product Placement, Websites, Email, Wireless, Desktop Apps., Video, Emerging Platforms
• Media Strategies: Mainstream, Social Media, Direct Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Ad Networks, Ad Serving
• Consumer Strategies: Brand Voices, Consumer Voices & Blogs, Behavioral Marketing, Word of Mouth, Verticals, Demographics
• Search: Paid Search, SEO, Local Search, Search Engines

• Best of Category -- All Winning entries compete for Best of Category recognition.
• Winner -- Communication that achieves the highest degree of effect.
• Finalist -- Communication that reaches the level of influential impact.
