Is 'Made In China' Worth The Risk This Year?
Publish Date : 11/21/2007 7:23:00 AM Source : Latest Asia News OnlyPunjab.com
Although not necessarily a consumer revolt, many families are opting out of children's gifts that carry the "Made In China" brand for this holiday season. News accounts of toy recalls, lead paint and other hazards have led some of the largest retailers like Wal-Mart, to pull items from it's shelves. Some websites and blogs have even posted listings of toys and gifts not made in China.
In response to consumer concerns, several US businesses are actively offering gift ideas as alternatives to foreign brands this holiday season.
One retailer has come up with a novel idea. Annabelle Records has released what is described as one of the safest holiday gifts for children ...music.
A CD entitled "An Angel Of My Own," written by E. Rick Rinalidi and performed by vocalist Renee Parisi, has been released as a holiday gift with children in mind.
Composer E. Rick Rinaldi says, "It is one thing to write a song, it is something entirely different to deliver it with the flair, passion, and intent of the composer. I wanted to release this beautiful song and I think it is a "must have" for children and expecting families this season."
Rinaldi also explains, "Not only is this a great stocking stuffer for the holiday, proceeds of sales will go into the Angel Foundation, which benefits children."
More details of this offering and a sampling of the recording are available at www.AnAngelOfMyOwn.com . "An Angel Of Own" may be a great alternative to foreign brands and one that actually lasts from year to year. |
