Leading Analyst Firm Positions Citrix in the Visionaries Quadrant for the WAN Optimization Magic Quadrant
Publish Date : 1/9/2008 4:31:00 AM Source : Network Security News Onlypunjab.com
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced that it has been positioned in the visionaries quadrant by Gartner, Inc. in the recently released “Magic Quadrant for WAN Optimization Controllers, 2007” report1. The Gartner report evaluated 14 different vendors of WAN optimization solutions.
Accelerating, securing, and optimizing applications to the branch office and remote users via Citrix WANScaler is an essential part of a comprehensive application delivery strategy that covers the entire line-of-site from datacenters to desktops,” said Wes Wasson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Citrix Systems. “We feel our position in Gartner’s visionaries quadrant further highlights Citrix’s commitment to provide the most comprehensive application delivery solutions that deliver any application, to any user, in any location with the best performance, security and cost savings.”
With the growth of an increasingly distributed global workforce, the accompanying effects on enterprise networks for increased security, bandwidth and multi-service convergence have become major challenges for IT. Citrix WANScaler™ solutions accelerate the delivery of applications to branch offices, datacenters and mobile workers by 5x to 30x. Citrix WANScaler is a transparent, end-to-end solution for all IP-based WANs, eliminating the need for changes to current network management tools, firewalls, network services or applications. The Citrix solution delivers increased WAN throughput and improved application response times for all applications, supporting hundreds of branch offices and WAN throughput up to 500 Mbps. Built on the AutoOptimizer Engine, WANScaler offers a transparent and flexible choice of deployment options across the enterprise that automatically applies to each data flow the best combination of performance boosting techniques depending on the application, the data and the network conditions.
