Vostu.com Launches in Miami
Publish Date : 2/5/2008 6:55:00 AM Source : American Local News Onlypunjab.com
Vostu.com, a social networking platform aimed at Latin America, officially launched in Miami today. www.vostu.com is a social networking web site that allows members to create their own free online community, as well as join any of the existing “social spheres” within Vostu. The new social network debuted at a red carpet event on South Beach where an eclectic mix of guests came together to celebrate the arrival of “social spheres” in Latin America. Attendees included Latin American personalities such as Manolo Diaz, president of EMI; industry insider Sean Ryan, CEO of Meez.com; and Patrick Chanezon from Google.
“The Latin American Internet market has never been more interesting and we are very excited to be leading tech-media entrepreneurship in the region with an innovative approach,” said Co-Founder and CEO, Daniel Kafie. “Whether you want to start a community for your university in Chile, bring together fans of a rock band in Mexico City or even just provide a private space for your family or circle of friends, you as the creator get to pick a design, add content pages, and instantly promote as well as monetize your own sphere on Vostu. You can also explore and join other related spheres within the global Vostu community.”
Vostu.com is a breakthrough concept in social networking as the site empowers its members to design and maintain online spaces for their various real-life communities in a more personal and dynamic way.
According to Andy Kleinman, Co-Founder and President of Vostu, “There is a paucity of high quality online ad inventory in Latin America, so targeted networks launched through Vostu create unprecedented opportunities for our clients and advertising partners in reaching their target audiences. The brand promotion possibility presented by this is a highlight of our platform.”
About Vostu
Since its creation in May 2007 by Harvard Business School students, Vostu has grown into a community of social spheres focused on the Latin American market. Each of the social spheres within Vostu combine to create a personal network for users based on a particular interest, community and geography. Vostu members are given full control over how their content such as photos, videos, blogs, and events are shared across different spheres. The company is based in Miami with a satellite office in Buenos Aires. Vostu has received seed funding from Intel Capital. |
