California Companies Embrace Job-Matching Technology
Publish Date : 1/22/2008 5:04:00 AM   Source : Technology News Onlypunjab.com

itzbig (www.itzbig.com), an industry leader in job matching technology, announced today that dozens of Bay area companies have enlisted itzbig to help them find highly qualified job candidates.

Among those companies are Advent Software, Inc., CNET, eBay, Logitech, Omnivision, Salesforce, Sanmina and Yahoo!

These companies understand that the Quiet Working Professional, or passive candidate, who ordinarily isnt looking for a job, embraces the itzbig network because it promotes the efficient exploration of job opportunities, while preserving their privacy and anonymity, said Jim McGovern, the CEO of itzbig. These passive candidates are also attracted by the user control and ease-of-use of the network in that they can enter a profile in a few minutes and see in real time how they match and score against various job opportunities on the network.

Mason Wong, the Senior Manager of Staffing for Advent Software, Inc., said that he believes the itzbig network will be a compelling new tool for Advent in the continuing war for talent. itzbig has a proven track record with technology employers in Texas and we believe strongly that their value proposition will extend to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Another attraction to companies is itzbigs ability to provide gracious recruiting or immediate feedback to active job seekers, who many times feel their online resumes just go into a black hole.

The itzbig network facilitates communication with qualified job applicants, said Logitechs John Zwieg. This separates us as a company from many other companies as a responsible corporate citizen that understands the importance of letting job candidates know where they stand. Even if the candidate doesnt get the job, we feel it is important for them to know where they stand.

Ultimately, companies in the Bay area are attracted to itzbig because it offers a pipeline to the quiet working professional.

This is a network that is built for passive job candidates, said David Schutt, Global Director of Recruitment and Employment for Sanmina-SCI. The fact that the candidate can create a profile to match a particular job opening, and do so with privacy and anonymity, is a powerful proposition.

The candidate has control with itzbig, which is attractive to us because it means that this is where the passive candidates will come to explore their opportunities.

Technology companies in Texas, where itzbig first launched in 2007, confirm that itzbig tightens the recruiting process since its formula effectively screens job candidates, eliminating the hundreds, if not thousands, of paper resumes that flood their human resources department.

This is a company that has plotted its growth in a very responsible way, expanding step-by-step out of its home state and doing its best to ensure both employers and applicants have an opportunity to connect in a meaningful way, said Joel Cheesman, one of the most widely-read bloggers on emerging recruitment issues in the world. itzbig has a sound strategy and is gaining momentum with some of the tech industry's most dynamic employers.

About itzbig

itzbig is the first interactive network to allow working professionals to privately explore in real-time career opportunities at technology companies. By focusing on quality and efficiency, the companys innovative approach also rescues employers from drowning in large quantities of poorly matched data.
