Integrated Warehousing Solutions, LLC, a leading provider of supply chain execution solutions, announced today that the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.) has selected the IRMS Warehouse Management System (IRMS) and the IRMS Mobile Emergency Response System ("Go-Kit") for their Mobile Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Inventory Management System
The Web-ready IRMS solution will provide the Washington, D.C. Department of Health (DOH), Maternal and Primary Care Administration, Pharmaceutical Procurement & Distribution Bureau with a centralized, state-of-the-art, commercial off-the-shelf inventory management system to support day-to-day warehouse operations, along with mobile IRMS SNS-RSS/RDN and POD Go Kit laptop warehouse management system for management, control, distribution and tracking of inventory from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s SNS on an emergency basis.
Washington, D.C. has employed IRMS for their day-to-day inventory management needs, fixed assets (i.e., furniture/equipment), pharmaceuticals, vaccines, immunizations, and medical supplies. The IRMS Go-Kit will additionally manage, control and distribute assets received from the CDC’s SNS during emergency events from receive-stage and storage sites to RDNs and medical treatment points of dispensing, or PODs.
With the implementation, the District of Columbia expects to streamline day-to-day warehouse operations and improve inventory visibility and efficiency as well as emergency pharmaceutical procurement and distribution, vaccine management and patient registration, assessment, treatment and tracking. In addition, the Web-ready IRMS will provide the District with a Web order entry and reporting component.
