“Genpact uses four DS3 links – two across the Atlantic and two across the Pacific – for its telecommunication needs. Normally we use two or three of these lines, depending on need and time of day,” said a company spokesperson. “One link was affected yesterday, but because we had three other links, it did not affect service to our clients. Today the affected link was repaired, so we are back to full capacity and redundancy.”

Another Mediterranean cable was reportedly cut today; however, Genpact said it continues to operate with all four of its DS3 lines at 100 percent operating capacity.

“Our network design, backup capacity and business continuity and disaster recovery systems have allowed us to maintain uninterrupted service to clients whose bandwidth we manage,” the Genpact spokesperson said. “We have informed our clients of this status and made our technical experts available to them if they have any questions, concerns or needs.”
