But first, the story.
There's a guy online by the name of Paul Myers. I signed up for one of his newsletters. The reason I signed up in the first place is because I had read so much from him posted at forums that I knew the content of his newsletter had to be top notch. Well, sure enough, it was. Anyway, one day he sends out one of his newsletters recommending a book on split testing. Well, I went to the sales page, and without even reading it, went down to the buy now button and purchased the book. Why? Because I had that much faith in Paul. Needless to say, the book was excellent and the best one I had ever read on the subject.
Now THAT is credibility.
Okay, how do you establish that kind of credibility for yourself? Actually, it's easy enough to do. You only need to concentrate on three things.
The first thing is to give more than you receive. So many marketers are in this for the wrong reasons. They want to take and take and give as little as they can for what they earn. That is not going to cut it, not today. Today, you have to give a thousand dollars of information for free in order to earn maybe 10% of that back. That's just the way it is. Once you learn to give of yourself freely, you'll begin to find that you're getting back.
The second thing you have to do is provide products of excellent quality. There is too much junk out there. People think they can just slap anything together and make a killing. Not anymore. You have to provide quality products at reasonable prices to establish credibility for yourself.
The third thing you have to do is provide excellent customer service. If there is a problem with one of your downloads, or whatever, take care of it right away. Don't make your customer wait days or weeks to get problems resolved. Customer service is so rare these days. This alone will put you ahead of the game.
These three simple things, plus simply being honest, will more than help in establishing credibility for yourself. Once you get it, you'll find out how much easier it is to make a living online because people will trust you. And that is the most important thing of all.
To YOUR Success,
