Idera, a leading developer of tools for SQL Server management and administration, today announced the appointment of Nick Futter as vice president, channel development. In this position, Futter will spearhead Idera’s global channel strategy further strengthening the company’s relationships with key partners and driving revenue growth through channel sales. Futter will report directly to Rick Pleczko, Idera’s President and CEO.
“Successful relationships with partners have been the key to the success for many of our customers,” said Futter. “With market demand increasing for SQL Server and Idera’s SQL Server management, administration and compliance solutions, the timing is very good to expand our channel program with additional dedicated resources that enhance and expand our partner and customer relationships.”
Futter brings Idera significant expertise in channel sales leadership. Prior to Idera, Futter was vice president of channel sales at SurfControl, where he played a key role in growing channel business, adding more than 600 new reseller partners. During his tenure, channel sales contributed significant revenue and he closed business with more than half of the Fortune 500 companies. Before SurfControl, Futter was vice president of sales at JBSi/EBIZ where he managed the entire direct and channel sales initiatives. He has also held sales management positions at Microware, Digitus, and WPDS.
