Doing business on a golf course has become a conventional practice. With the arrival of G’Day USA, a 10-day program of events promoting business between the U.S. and Australia, the boardroom meets the golf course again when more than 100 “C” level executives from U.S. and Australian companies hit the links for the “Melbourne Australia CEO Golf Day.” Hosted by famed pro golfer and CBS Sports analyst Ian Baker-Finch, the tournament will be held at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes on January 21, 2008, and is co-sponsored by Travel + Leisure Golf and presented by Qantas Airways and Australia.com.
“CEO Golf Day has presented participating executives with unique networking, commercial and cultural exchange opportunities,” said Wally R. Mariani, Qantas Airways senior executive vice president, The Americas and Pacific. “Qantas is proud to be a founding partner of the event showcasing Australia as a great place to do business,” he added.
Three-time host and golfer Ian Baker-Finch will conduct a pre-tournament clinic where he will share some tips and tricks and interact with tournament players before a shot gun start kicking off a full 18 holes of golf on the picturesque course located on one of the most beautiful and expansive stretches of Southern California coastline. The daylong event will conclude with an awards presentation and a gourmet Australian barbecue buffet.
