The Tower’s mobility, combined with the small size and lightweight nature of the STS-350 radars, makes them easy to use to strengthen security at virtually any type of mass event. SkyWatch Towers have been employed at diverse venues including the Mardi Gras, the (tennis) U.S. Open and the Macy’s Parade in New York City, plus at several NBA and NFL games. “Law enforcement agencies that have added SkyWatch report an almost instantaneous reduction in crime. In 2007 alone, more than 25 different law enforcement agencies — in cities from New York City, Dallas, Charlotte, to Memphis — purchased SkyWatch Towers. In addition to law enforcement, SkyWatch is now on duty in U.S. military installations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay; 100 of the units stand guard on the U.S./Mexico border.

Besides the Towers, six STS-350 High Resolution, Frequency Modulated Continuous Scan Radars will are providing constant, overlapping coverage to monitor and further secure the Super Bowl’s Perimeter.
