Daybreak ICS Announces eCapture For IBM Content Manager and FileNet P8 at IBM Information On Demand
Publish Date : 10/16/2007 9:27:00 AM Source : Software and Operating Systems News Onlypunjab.com
Daybreak Intellectual Capital Solutions, Inc., a provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and consulting services, today announced two new product releases for eCapture Suite, its flagship distributed document capture platform. eCapture for IBM Content Manager and eCapture for FileNet P8 will provide users the ability to scan, index, and import documents into multiple content repositories in a single step from one interface. eCapture Suite is the first capture solution in its class to offer a concurrent licensing model with no page count limitations.
eCapture Suite is built on a modular platform that consists of the core capture engine and ECM platform plug-ins. Additional plug-ins can be added, making it easy to scan, index, and route paper documents into multiple ECM repositories. The software provides security features including secure communications, user authentication and access control to appropriate content repositories. eCapture Suite is built from the ground up for Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) to facilitate interoperability with legacy systems within an organization.
"We are excited about our new partnership with IBM and feel that eCapture Suite will provide users of IBM content management platforms with a completely new option for easy-to-use, distributed document capture," said Kara Cleaver, Daybreak President and CEO. "eCapture for IBM Content Manager and FileNet P8 are the next logical progressions in our product stack and we are delighted to partner with the market leader in the enterprise content management space."
eCapture for IBM Content Manager and eCapture for FileNet P8 key features include the ability to route documents into multiple repositories and also capture and assign document attributes. For easy full-text indexing and retrieval, users can scan to searchable PDF on the fly for full-text indexing and automatically capture metadata through the application's zonal OCR functionality.
eCapture for IBM Content Manager and eCapture for FileNet P8 are scheduled to ship in Q1 2008.
