Doc's Sports to Release Big Ten Game of the Year - a History of Excellence
Publish Date : 10/25/2007 10:49:00 AM   Source : Sports News Onlypunjab.com

Doc's Sports has been in the sports information and handicapping business since 1971. Over that time, no other offering in the industry has enjoyed the success of Doc's Big Ten Game of the Year. The pick at one time, won an unprecedented 19 years in a row, and was responsible for moving the Vegas line more than seven points one year. The 2007 Big Ten Game of the Year will be played on Saturday, Oct. 27. This is Doc's strongest play of the year and the only 8-unit selection of the college or pro season.

"It used to be absolute chaos when this pick was released," says Morey "Doc" Moseman, owner and founder of Doc's Sports. "There would be a rush to the betting windows in Vegas when the pick came out. I never wanted to witness it because I didn't want to jinx the pick. I knew how incredible a streak like this was, and I didn't want it to end. I doubt anyone could ever match that streak again."

This year's selection - along with all of Doc's expert college football and NFL picks - are available on Doc's website at www.docsports.com and as always Doc's picks are guaranteed to win or they will extend all memberships at no charge.

In an industry where people come and go all the time, and promises seem to be made to be broken, Doc's is clearly an exception. Moseman started the company in 1971 with nothing more than a notepad and one phone line, and Doc's is bigger than ever now in the 37th year of business.

"I think that we have been so successful over the years because we take a low-key approach to what we do," adds Moseman. "We are always honest and our customers know that there are no sure things. We give them the best chance to win, but anything can happen in sports. There are games we win that we should lose, like the Big Ten Game of the Year in 1988 when Iowa got a late, long touchdown to cover, and games we lose that we should win, like the 2000 edition, when Michigan missed three field goals from inside the 20. In the end, though, our hard work, attention to statistics and lines, and contacts throughout the sports world give our customers an edge."

Doc's has been releasing their Big Ten Game of the Year since 1972 and it is their strongest play of the year in any sport (Doc's releases expert picks in college and pro football and basketball along with MLB and NHL selections, among others). Doc's picks this game according to a variety of intangibles, which include many motivational factors.

Doc's Sports has been in business since 1971 and it has established itself as one of the leaders in the sports information industry. Industry luminaries continue to praise Doc's team for its hard work and strong moral fiber. Doc's Web site provides daily exclusive sports wagering content, odds, match-up reports and much more.
