An accomplished financial technology executive who has spent the last 22 years at the center of the electronic trading movement, Carley brings a wealth of management experience to the new post. As the CEO of Monitor110, Carley is responsible for expanding the firm’s business throughout the investment marketplace. Carley will lead the charge to empower financial professionals to unlock the alpha-generating potential of alternative information, including online news, blogs, message boards and deep-web data, and to find new ways to analyze and monetize traditional information such as SEC filings, earnings call transcripts and mainstream news.

Carley, 46, was previously Chief Strategy Officer and Global Head of Business Operations at NYFIX, an electronic trading solutions company. He joined NYFIX from private equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he served as Entrepreneur in Residence. Prior to that, Carley served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Radianz, a financial markets network provider he co-founded while working at Reuters PLC where he was Senior Vice President of Network Strategy. Before joining Reuters, Carley was Senior Vice President and Head of Information Technology at the Instinet Corporation. He began his career at IBM, where he held a number of posts straddling both computer programming and marketing disciplines, principally focused on the financial markets.

Carley received a BA in economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude from New York University and completed graduate work at Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Carley is an active member of various professional and community organizations, and sat on the board of directors for Yipes Enterprise Services until December 2007, when Yipes completed a sale to Reliance Communications. He resides with his family in Bronxville, NY.
