Moe Norman Golf Academy launched to Grow the Game of Golf
Publish Date : 1/14/2008 4:44:00 AM   Source : Sports News Onlypunjab.com

The average golf score hasn't improved in decades. Instruction is not helping the average golfer. In its mission to grow the game The Moe Norman Golf Academy has been launched and is spearheading a campaign to introduce the single plane swing to novice golfers who are interested in learning the easiest swing method in golf.

The Moe Norman Golf Academy has been launched with a donation of millions of dollars of high-end video golf instruction by Natural Golf. The Academy will be streaming this video to every interested golfer and would-be golfer at no charge and is a true honor to the memory of Moe Norman, called the world's greatest ballstriker by golf greats like Lee Trevino, Sam Snead, and Ben Hogan. Tiger Woods said of Norman "Only two players have ever truly owned their swings, Moe Norman and Ben Hogan."

The Natural Golf single plane swing has fewer moving parts and the mechanics are easier to understand. This translates into a swing that is

more easily learned and repeated for golfers of all skill levels.

As practitioner of the single plane swing since 1995, PGA Professional and Academy Executive Director Ken Martin, provides a revolutionary vision for the instruction as it is welcomed worldwide.

Says Martin, "The Moe Norman Golf Academy serves as a true legacy to its namesake. In the Moe Museum, visitors will find a generous amount of background on the swing and method that made his game legendary. Weekly visitors will find robust development of the content and a growing video instruction library."

The free downloadable instructional videos made possible through a generous grant by Natural Golf and by the Grave Golf Academy will enable visitors who register to view materials that have been categorized to help both explain the fundamentals of the swing as well as to address specific golf challenges.

Says Peter Lineal, Natural Golf's CEO, "Golf is so hard to play that it is inhibiting people from trying it. By donating our instructional intellectual property to the Moe Norman Golf Academy and making our simple swing available to everyone who is interested in learning we will successfully grow the game of golf."

The Moe Norman Golf Academy is actively looking for more professional golf instructors to teach the Natural Single Plane Swing to directly address the demand resulting from the overwhelming interest in the free method after exposure to it on the web. For more information about how Golf Professionals can affiliate with the Moe Norman Golf Academy or become a certified instructor email executivedirector @ moenormangolfacademy.org.

About Moe Norman Golf Academy
The Moe Norman Golf Academy** (MGNA) is a cyber academy that delivers free golf instruction to golfers of all skill levels and certifies instructors maintaining the purity of the single plane swing with a Professional level of quality control. The MNGA will support the growth of the game internationally through headquarters based in the United States and will align with the PGA and other non-profit agencies in the golf arena in providing support for underprivileged would-be golfers, scholarships, providing low-cost or free instruction to returning and existing vets and physically challenged individuals, as well as becoming entrenched in additional fund raising opportunities.

About Ken Martin, PGA Professional, MNGA Executive Director
Ken Martin has had a passionate golf career since his introduction to the game over 30 years ago. He joined the Natural Golf team in 1995 after being introduced to Moe Norman following ballstriking clinics in conjunction with the PGA Show in Orlando, FL that year. Since then, he was fortunate to have had many opportunities to spend time with Moe; each helping him to learn and refine the Natural Golf method. Named Director of Instruction in 2006, Martin has been instrumental in the simplifying the Natural Golf curriculum and teaching method and has successfully transferred the simplicity of the swing to golfers of all ability. Ken is available for interviews and can be reached at

About Natural Golf
Natural Golf has gained international recognition as an advocate for an uncomplicated golf swing based on the theory of moving the club on a single-plane; a method* demonstrated formidably by Canadian Golf Legend Moe Norman. The Natural Golf single plane swing begins with a distinctive hold on the club that naturally aligns the club shaft "on plane" with the arms. This single plane relationship between the shaft and arms simplifies the dynamics of consistent ballstriking leading to more enjoyment faster for all levels of golfers as they play the game. This straightforward swing method provides a foundation for demystifying what has become for many a confusing world of golf instruction.

Based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Natural Golf currently teaches the Natural Golf Swing through its Certified Instructors at more than 200 locations around the world. Natural Golf produces instructional materials, such as books and videos, and also manufactures a quality line of golf equipment providing a custom fit option for advocates of their method.

Growing the game of golf by delivering significant improvement to golfers on all levels is their continuing vision. Tips, instruction, and information on schools and custom fitted equipment are all available at www.naturalgolf.com .
