This is a game that many people seem to enjoy.
What you do here is that you have two teams, maybe more if you wanna make it hard, but I'll be telling you the rules for two team "capture the flag". You have your selected field, preferably someplace huge, maybe the quad on your campus. Well anyways, try to find the middle point of the field, which I will randomly name as the contact line. Each team has a half of that field, if one team member passes the contact point and touches the opposing teams field, they are fair game to be captured.
Capturing requires touching the other team, think Touch Football. When captured, each team has their own prison cell, whether its a specific area in their field, a tree, or a building's wall, the prisoner has to keep a body part on the prison cell and the only way they can get out is if their teammate grabs them from the cell and returns them back to their side of the field, otherwise they will both be captured. You can only capture an enemy when they are on your side. You can enter through buildings or climb trees or whatever, as long as you are within the boundaries of the game.
Anyways, as I said earlier, you have two teams, each team member should have a piece of color cloth signifying the team that they are on. You are to wrap the cloth on your arm and players have to be able to see it. You also start out with two different color "flags" placed at the end of each field.
In order to win or get a point, you have to capture the opposing teams flag and bring it to your own "base" or field. But in order to score a point, you have to have your own flag back in your base otherwise, the game is at a standstill. Also, if players who have the flags are touched by the opposing team, then they are to drop the flag at the point where they were touched. The flag does not return to its original position until the game ends or until a designated amount of time has passed.
*Ahem*
Adding on to the capturing part of the game, the person who has captured the enemy has to escort the captured to the prison cell or else he or she is able to escape. There also has to be a person or a few watching the prison or else the captured are able to escape whenever. Also the person who obtains the flag is fair game to be captured on either side, even on their own, as long as the person giving chase does not get captured him or herself by the opposing team.
