Deepening its commitment to prepare creative professionals across the world with the educational and professional networking skills needed to bolster their careers, Sessions Online™ Schools of Art and Design (“Sessions Online™”) today unveiled its School of Fine Arts, the only fully online program offering formal training on academic fine arts techniques geared toward the professional market.
Sessions Online™, which has advanced the careers of design professionals across the world for more than 10 years, launched the School of Fine Arts because of the increased demand from students requiring a complete immersion in fine arts techniques and instruction – from art history and drawing to watercolor and painting. With the flexibility of a self-paced program and courses available around the clock, students are taught and mentored by faculty who are accomplished artists with major gallery credentials.
Sessions Online™ has transformed the online education experience, which has often been perceived as lacking the rigorous coursework, renowned and dedicated faculty and interactive culture associated with traditional “brick-and-mortar” learning institutions. Sessions is the only online non-degree granting school to achieve full accreditation by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) and Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools (CCS/MSA). Sessions is also licensed by the New York State Education Department.
Whether students want to advance their current careers or simply deepen their appreciation of the fine arts, the Sessions Online™ program features challenging coursework and an interactive culture that is highly personable and nurturing.
Core classes are complemented with open studio courses in which students work under the mentorship of a chosen instructor to refine their skills and deepen their creative voice.
Every class in the School of Fine Arts is packed with lectures, hands-on projects, video tutorials, illustrations and interactive exercises with ongoing, one-to-one feedback from faculty, who teach using the same techniques that master artists have handed down over centuries.
“The School of Fine Arts combines our passionate, committed faculty with a full slate of courses designed to challenge students to think creatively and unleash their full potential as artists,” said Jordon Schranz, director, Sessions Online™ School of Fine Arts. “The program is designed to address the needs of fine arts students around the world that want to master their craft in a supportive, engaging environment that fosters the greatest possible creative expression.”
Like all Sessions Online™ programs and classes, the School of Fine Arts is designed around students’ lifestyles, with classes and coursework available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The highly flexible curriculum enables students to only take classes that are right for their needs and to enroll and study around their schedules. The classes are hands-on and interactive.
Students receive ongoing feedback from faculty coupled with videos that help improve techniques. In addition, the Sessions experience provides a rich, collaborative environment where students can network with fellow students and build their professional networks.
